Summary

As the Marketing Brand Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive brand marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and achieve business objectives. Working closely with our marketing staff, and our expert teams in applied ocean sciences, engineering, and operations, you will develop, materials and tools needed to establish and elevate ThayerMahan’s brand presence through traditional marketing and business presentations. You will work closely with the Marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all channels, while leveraging insight, innovation, and creativity to develop strategic initiatives that will differentiate us in the market and drive sustainable growth.

You’ll use your skills in developing business presentations and traditional marketing materials in a work environment that’s fast-paced, collaborative, and on the cutting edge of maritime technology. We are looking for a passionate Brand Manager to join our growing Marketing team to focus efforts on print, broadcast, and direct mail content development, as well as leveraging membership networks, build tradeshow materials, PowerPoint decks, and collateral such as one-pagers and business cards.

This position is located in Groton, CT.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant must have experience in the following:

  • Development of tools and resources for successful salesforce activation.
  • Identifying and creating strategies that support customer acquisition goals.
  • Supporting the execution of annual brand plans, including marketing campaigns, new product launches, promotional plans, and distribution opportunities.
  • Ensuring brand initiatives and implementation plans are being followed.
  • Collaboration to create compelling and relevant content that resonates with target audiences and reinforces brand messaging and values.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or similar field, in addition to:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience in Marketing, Business, Communications, or relevant field.
  • Takes initiative and demonstrates leadership and teamwork.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent team player, and positive “can do” attitude.
  • Proactively seeks additional opportunities to learn and expand knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excelling understanding of brand development.
  • Familiarity with Canva and similar systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
