You’ll use your project management, business development and writing skills in a work environment that’s fast-paced, collaborative, and on the cutting edge of autonomous maritime solutions.  We are looking for energetic Project Manager/Business Analyst(s) to join our Business Development team.  You will work closely with our expert teams in applied ocean sciences, engineering, and operations as you develop, organize, combine, and update proposal content to win business in emerging markets.  You will be responsible for developing and updating the library of information in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.  You will work with subject matter experts to identify and assess new business opportunities and develop responses to government and commercial Requests for Proposals (RFPs). You will work with company leadership to prepare technical papers, presentations, briefings, white papers, and other deliverables and be part of customer engagements to understand our customer needs and help our business grow.

This position is located in Groton, CT or the Washington, DC area.  The successful applicant must have experience in the following:

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and organizing standard proposal content.

  • Verify the status of leads and opportunities and keep their status updated in the CRM
  • Develop and maintain the CRM dashboard
  • Develop and provide standard reports from the CRM
  • In collaboration with technology, operations, and business experts in the company, develop and update standard proposal content (including Company Description, Past Performance, Technical Specifications, key personnel Biographies, etc.) in the CRM
  • Analyze RFPs, develop compliance matrices as guidelines for proposal evaluation
  • Track proposal development timelines
  • Stay current with technical and business developments in the company and update standard proposal content
  • Help the Business Development team write, edit, bind, and archive proposals, presentations, briefings, white papers, and other deliverables
  • Assist with presentations to customers

Minimum Qualifications:
Due to our work with the U.S. Government, this role legally requires that you are a U.S. citizen.

2-5 years of experience in professional business/proposal management and writing.

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Experience in preparing and managing competitive responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Experience:
Writing, editing, and standardizing content for proposals, reports, and briefs.

  • Familiarity with Cosential/Unanet or similar CRM
  • Experience in analyzing proposal requirements and business issues
    • Experience in managing and preparing Federal Government proposals, especially Department of Defense/Navy and Department of Homeland Security/Coast Guard
