The Director of Unexploded Ordnance Operations (UXO), Offshore Energy Group.

Job Overview
The Senior UXO Supervisor (SUXOS) plans, coordinates, and supervises all explosives operations; supervises multiple teams; and assists in development of emergency response plans. Assignments normally involve developing technical operating procedures and solving complex technical operational problems. Responsible for personal decisions or those made by subordinates resulting from any problem encountered during operations, including the determination to stop work if unsafe conditions exist. Coordinates decisions and actions with offshore and onshore project managers and QHSE Coordinator.  Serves as a key member in the planning, training, costing, and execution of long and short-term UXO/MEC.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leads team operations involved with the location, access, assessment, render safe, disposal, transportation, and processing of all types and conditions of US and Foreign ordnance.
  • This includes identification and technical research of guided missiles, bombs and bomb fuzes, projectile and projectile fuzes, grenades and grenade fuzes, rockets and rocket fuzes, landmines and associated components, pyrotechnic items and explosives, and demolition materials.

Required Qualifications
In accordance with Department of Defense Explosive Safety Board (DDESB) Technical Paper-18 (TP-18)  Revision 1 of 24 June 2020. Due to our work with the U.S. Government, this role legally requires that you are a U.S. citizen.
